About

A label, not a platform

Scannata Records is an independent, artist-first label: personalised artist development, AI-assisted production tools and copyright-free samples, and full-service publishing and distribution to Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and Tidal.

Why weexist

Scannata Records exists because the gap between a finished demo and a released record is mostly logistics, and logistics should not cost an artist their catalogue. We take on a handful of acts a year and work them properly — release plans written for one record, not a template applied to forty.

Everything we build for our roster comes back to the same test: does this leave the artist with more control at the end of the deal than at the start? If it does not, we do not sign it.

The label runs out of Calella with a team you can count on one hand. That is a constraint we chose, and it is the reason a demo sent on a Tuesday gets an answer by Thursday.

How we work

Four rules we do not bend

Small on purpose
Four acts a year is the number we can answer within a day. Growing past it would mean becoming the thing we started the label to avoid.
Direct contact
You get a person and their number. No ticket queue, no account manager, no forwarding to a partner agency in another country.
The masters stay yours
Every deal is term-limited and terminates cleanly. We take a share of what we help earn and nothing else.
Tools, not gatekeeping
The sample library and production tools are cleared for commercial use and free to the roster. Useful things should not be a bargaining chip.

What our artists say

I sent three demos to three labels. Scannata replied in a day, with notes on the actual arrangement. The other two never replied at all.
Artist on SpotifyDistribution
They put the release plan on one page and stuck to it. I have worked with distributors who could not manage that in six months.
Artist on SoundCloudDemo submission
The sample library alone paid for itself. Cleared, documented, no publisher turning up two years later asking questions.

One track is enough. A private link, a sentence about what you are trying to make, and where you are based. We listen to everything and we answer, whether it is a yes or not.
